What are your views on adoption?

When I talk to my friends about how I want to adopt children instead of my own, they look at me weirdly and ask "Why don't you want to have your own kids?" or "That's stupid." I feel angered at them sometimes. Even though I'm quite young (14), I've seen what war and natural disasters can do to our world, and that includes orphaned children. I almost cried at all the children who were orphaned in Haiti and other places, and that's why I decided that I wanted to adopt because it hurts me to know that those kids don't have anyone who wants to take them in as their child, and they are always left with the fact that either their parents were ripped away from them, or their parents just didn't want them. I almost cry thinking about all those kids who yearn for a parent, but they're still stuck in their orphanage and they don't have a parent. I really do feel so sad for those children because they have to endure all of that pain, and it makes me even sadder to know that some of those children have grown old enough to remember it, not like the orphans that are adopted as infants. What do you think about it?

Family issues, need help :(?

Why won't my Ipod charge?

I need some suggestions here. I am working on an estimate for a kitchen. The existing walls in the kitchen were previously wallpapered and then painted over using latex. The problem here in lies.. The wallpaper was applied in strips and every seam is visible and 2-3 seams have split apart and cracked through the paint. The home owner had previously lifted some of the paper at a seam and it doesn't appear that the sheet rock was treated before the paper was applied. Now short of doing some demolition and re-dry-walling the entire kitchen what are my options? I'm pretty sure a steamer will destroy this the sheetrock as it is pushing sixty years old. I'm also not trying to score the paper and spray solution to spend 10 hours ripping off tiny pieces of paper because it didn't soak through the paint. I have also thought of just skim coating the entire wall with a spackle/joint compound or similar product but I'm not sure how long that will last before the paper lifts more and cracks the spackle and new paint. Any suggestions? If you have a technique you could share with a rough time-to-complete that would be great. As far as I can tell from first look only one wall will require this treatment, I would guess the dimensions at about 13' x 8' with a simple crown molding at the top, no chair rail and an electric baseboard heater at the bottom.

I recently got injured last weekend when I was about a half mile into lake Ontario, from a beach in Port Dalousie which is by the city of St.Catharines. The many of the old laws have been fulfilled by the coming of the prophesied messiah. After 8 years of marriage to a woman with a child, now teenager, at home who basically has to be entertained practically everyday I am getting my fill, as a matter of fact my cup is overflowing. And yet, if it's something he wants to do he will fly out of bed, even two hours earlier than usual and run out without breakfast. This, for some reason I have a hard time swallowing and yet to say anything I get ripped. Now, I should always be available to take him wherever he wants to go even if it means I have to be late for an appointment, or have to give up something I had planned because it's a new day and baby boy (16) must have all his "wants" met. We are used to it being treated like a MacDonalds but last night was the final straw when we sat next to a family of about 10 with kids ranging from 2 to 16. The kids were even being served at the bar at 9.15 pm (should they be at the bar at all?) They ran riot all evening until 9.45 and the adults were stinking drunk. We asked what time the kids would have to leave the pub and the manager said 9.30. At about 9.40 the manager announced that children should leave the pub by 9.30 and made a sacractic comment that "he apologised for having to make the announcement" but then the family ordered more drinks and were served. The manager made no further effort to ask them to leave. They littered the table and left such a disgraceful mess! The pub was full and it seemed that they were only interested in the revenue. Now I love to see well behaved families enjoying a night out and a meal around a table but this is ridiculous. We did ask the manager when we could expect some peace and quiet but he didn't seem bothered. There was a pub quiz which we couldn't hear because of the racket. I am going to make an official complaint to the pub chain but I do want to know what legal time kids should leave pubs. My family are voting with our feet and won't be going there again but it's such a shame that unruly, drunk families are allowed to take over our local pub in this way. Is this Facebook page real or fake?

This girl added me a while back (months, maybe even a year). "She" had a pretty, but not beautiful, profile picture. It was nothing like a model or porn star picture. She started talking to me, and she ended up sending me some dirty pictures. We quit talking for a while, as she moved back to a neighboring state and supposedly got a boyfriend (according to her Facebook). Recently, she moved back and we started talking again. They're still very pretty but they're not dirty pictures or pictures of celebrities or models. They're all the same girl. The whole time I've had her on Facebook her story has been the same. She has a couple friends on her friends list that claim to be from the same area she's from, and they interact with each other on Facebook (comments, wall posts, etc.). Here's where it gets shady. When we talk on the phone, she blocks her humber if she calls from her house. She says her dad is very strict and doesn't like her getting serious with guys so she doesn't want me calling her house. She will, however, give me her cell number. I've spoken to her about this situation and she seems to be sincere in the fact that she's real. Another thing is when I ask her to FaceTime on our phones (so I can verify she's 100% real), she won't do it. This is a red flag for sure. She says she's shy, but then she'll ask to meet up. It's kind of a contradiction. I can somewhat understand, though, because it would seem a little awkward doing FaceTime and I'd rather meet up in person. She also says she just got out of a relationship and doesn't want to jump into anything, BUT will turn around and talk to me on the phone and talk about us meeting up. There is no spam on her page, and her info seems legit. If it's fake, someone is taking a LOT of time to do this and is very good at it. Ok so my mum knows how well I take care of our puppy, Snoopy as I feed him every day, take him for walks down the woods sometimes and play with him. I have got a very good report and a lot of my mates get presents for good school reports but I don't usually :( I have wanted a hamster a while ago, before I got my rat (RIP Sam) and now I really want one again. I'm afraid they'll say no cuz my mum says they are really noisy at night which is ok for me as I am a heavy sleeper, but not ok for my parents as they are light sleepers. Even if I could answer all of your questions point by point...then new questions would come up. The largest issue here (I believe) is relationship. If you know God...then that trumps all of the intellectual questions b/c after all ...dying is not so much an intellectual exercise is it? Dying is about facing a "journey". When I die I will no longer be here. Where will I be? I cannot push a button, sprinkle some fairy dust or any such thing to get God to "perform". My first encouragement is to go to Him. I'm serious...all of these questions and things you're thinking about...no pretending...just lay it all out in front of Him. (After all if he is who He claims to be...He can handle all of that and more.) Ask Him to clarify some of these things and be truthful about your skepticism or fear (or both). The second encouragement is to find a live human who you trust who you could sit face to face with and have a conversation. These are very important questions. Computer problem, Please help?

Hi, me and my brother want to start playing WoW together because we hate it when its solo. Im on my dads computer and i need to clear 4.4GB of space. Iv cleared over 10GB but theres seriously nothin else i can think of doing. Does defraging clear much space? I did it for about 1hr and only like 15% was done and i cant leave the computer on that long to maybe get a little bit of space. Im really into computers but im scared i might delete 1 of those "DO NOT TOUCH!" programmes like a driver updater(etc). What should i do? Theres only like 70GB on it, its a total rip off, its like 4-5yrs old and cost 1.100€ and it cant even run WoW at "recommended" settings i think. And the thing is, it has wireless internet and we dont know the password and he doesnt want to be in his room to have to play his laptop. Who here thinks that society has a narrow interpretation of the 1st amendment?

What I mean is that the first amendment is the first and more crucial one that is meant to represent a true democracy, meaning that people should be allowed to say, express themselves, and do whatever they want as long as they are not hurting someone else. It just seems like the context of the amendment is constantly being misinterpreted hence the supreme court upholding these disgraceful animals protesting at military. Yet its looks at as forbidden for people to do things in their home that involve no harm to others such as smoking weed, looking at obscene material, or anything else that is censored. Imposing all these restrictions on what people can and cant do as long as it doesn't harm anyone else certainly doesn't seem conducive to a free country but yet should fall inline with the first amendment.

This girl added me a while back (months, maybe even a year). "She" had a pretty, but not beautiful, profile picture. It was nothing like a model or porn star picture. She started talking to me, and she ended up sending me some dirty pictures. We quit talking for a while, as she moved back to a neighboring state and supposedly got a boyfriend (according to her Facebook). Recently, she moved back and we started talking again. It turns out her Facebook picture was fake. She said there were too many creeps on Facebook to put her real pictures on. Plus, she had a boyfriend who doesn't mess with computers so maybe he was uneasy? She put a bunch more on. They're still very pretty but they're not dirty pictures or pictures of celebrities or models. They're all the same girl. The whole time I've had her on Facebook her story has been the same. She has a couple friends on her friends list that claim to be from the same area she's from, and they interact with each other on Facebook (comments, wall posts, etc.). Here's where it gets shady. When we talk on the phone, she blocks her humber if she calls from her house. She says her dad is very strict and doesn't like her getting serious with guys so she doesn't want me calling her house. She will, however, give me her cell number. I've spoken to her about this situation and she seems to be sincere in the fact that she's real. Another thing is when I ask her to FaceTime on our phones (so I can verify she's 100% real), she won't do it. This is a red flag for sure. She says she's shy, but then she'll ask to meet up. It's kind of a contradiction. I can somewhat understand, though, because it would seem a little awkward doing FaceTime and I'd rather meet up in person. She also says she just got out of a relationship and doesn't want to jump into anything, BUT will turn around and talk to me on the phone and talk about us meeting up. There is no spam on her page, and her info seems legit. If it's fake, someone is taking a LOT of time to do this and is very good at it. She's became friends on Facebook with some of my real life friends. One of which I know has been talking to her. Does this sound legit or am I being f****d with?

Your guinea pig should have been seen by an exotic vet long ago, she is suffering and they can give her medications and pain medication to help her. Sadly it sounds as though you have waited to long and she is to ill to survive, and yes of course the vet will charge to put her to rest. Chances are if you had been working with a good exotic vet through out the guinea pigs life they would not charge you, this is the reason your guinea pig should be seen by a vet yearly even if it has not been ill. The vet then has a report with you and the guinea pig and tent to be more giving.

I had software that did it but I had to reformat my hard drive and forgot to save the information. Now I've lost it and really need to find this. I've read the Bible and used to be a devout Christian. After reading the Bible, I see that God is the worst terrorist to ever exist. Please understand what I mean is this: God terrorized children during the flood of Noah, Sodom and Gomorrah, and in the lake of fire. How can I trust a God who is a terrorist of children like that? How can I trust God when He has the power to feed all the children in the world, yet won't lift a finger to feed the poor, clothe the naked, heal the sick. Not even one amputee has been medically documented of being healed after all the Christians praying for it. Ask and ye shall receive seems to be an out right lie. What do I do? I know the Bible has tons of lies and contradictions in it now after reading the Bible and studying it deeply. I've read websites that prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that the Bible has tons of lies in it. How can I ever trust God again?

This is a most unfourtunate situation, no parent should ever make their child to feel that way. And they are very lucky to have you, and not some spoiled child who takes their frustration out in violence. Here is what I suggest, have a sit down with your Mum and Dad, let them know that you are going to talk calmly and continue to do so. Let them know how you feel, tell them everything you just told us, if they continue to make you feel like absolutle rubbish then I suggest then maybe you should try and get them into an enviroment where maybe a counselor is involved, from the sounds of it you may just have to do that first. That way you are in a controlled enviroment, you can say what you need and have to say and be able to get your feelings out with the saftey of someone who is trained to deal with situations like this. You parents need to understand that the way they are treating you is WRONG, however you seem to have your head in the right place by keeping you calm and in the long run that will be a very usefull beneifit to you when you get older. Sounds as if weather she told you or not, that she may have lost her vvirginity to you.
