Why are all of my friends racist and a bit naive?

im 14 as are most of my close friends, but they all think its ok to define people by race. they say things like 'all muslims are terrorists and deserve to be killed' which i find disgraceful and wrong. just because their skin is a different colour does not mean they are all terrorists and murderers. no matter how you think this world came about we were all put on here and we are all equal. i understand how that is my opinion blah blah blah, but my friends opinions are illegal and so very wrong. they walk across the road if a person with a different colour skin walks past. don't get me wrong, my friends are amazing people and they're are always there for me but this is like a big flaw they all have. if i try and reason with them thy jump down my throat saying im siding with 'them' and i'm white so i should be against them. it's not even like i'm from a place where races are split, im from the uk for goodness sake! i try and make them understand that its their personality that counts NOT the colour of their skin. and don't even get me started on religion. my friends now think that because there are a few muslim terrorists who say their god told them to do horrible things that all muslims and other religious people believe this too, when in the quoran it says that you should not kill. it really upsets me, but how can i make them see things my way? the thing is, they only think coloured religous people should die or whatever. they don't think white people, christians, catholics, jews should. and if a black person was christian, then they think thats ok? its so confusing and wrong. it really disgraces me to think my friends think that. why are they like that and how can i change their opinions?
