Why do people maintain that the bible has no contradictions when it actually has loads?

Ah but I would say the contradictions and ambiguity's of the bible are its greatest assets. To a clever word smith, the examples quoted are simply two verified points of view to be presented as convenient in relation to whatever point of view he is pushing. It is a source of points around which to build an argument, it was never meant to be read as a book the way atheists in general myself included read it. Mind you I might be wrong, I often am
