Has Harry Potter Ruined Chances Of Any Other Writers to Write About A School Of Magic?

It just seems that if anyone's story involves a school that teaches magic it's instantly a rip off of Harry Potter even if the writer didn't intend on making it anything like Harry Potter. I do believe though there have been other stories that involve a magic school such as the old Tv program 'Worst Witch' but it seems now no one will be able to write about of School of Magic any more even if it's worlds away from the HP storyline.
