My boyfriend is too over protective or am I just disgraceful?

My bf and I have been together for three years and I love him to pieces. I play volleyball for australia, but im the only female on the team. At times the guys can get a tad flirty, but I dont take attention to it. Yesterday we had a tournament and a guy from the opposing team slapped my a*s and my bf was there. He was in a mood all the way home and I said whats up and he just snapped and said 'guys can be all over you andyoure asking me whats up? Its disgusting, next time you should keep your distance?' he was really angryand didnt speak to me after that all night, even though I made dinner and told him that nothing matters and I love him nobody else is importqant, but he didnt even say he loves me bk. So I went to sleep and he slept on the couch! :( its been two days and the awkwardness hasnt gone yet, its not even eased. Please helop me..what do I do?
