Very Quick Question -ONE word?

I heard "said". I think the beginning of the reporter's speech was cut. He was probably saying something like, "The University (or Oxford University or University officials, etc.) SAID it looked as though the Prime Minister had got his facts wrong".because he then reiterated by saying, "That's what Oxford University said."
